What matters for this in Polk County
Polk demolitions need the utility disconnects and asbestos notice; on lakefront lots the erosion control plan protects the shoreline.
Polk sits on the Lake Wales Ridge and karst ground, with sinkhole history in places, and its northeast corner reaches into the Green Swamp Area of Critical State Concern. Lakes are everywhere, so flood zone and shoreline rules come up more often than people expect.

- Fees are earned as each filing, audit or field visit is completed and are not refundable. The credit is applied against the final construction draw or the pre-construction contract balance, never paid out in cash.
